Large Tibetan cymbals, ting-sha or Chapa. Decorated with auspicious signs or dragons.
Diameter: 7 cm
The large Tibetan cymbals, Ting-Sha or Chapa, are music instruments used to persuade the gods sojourning on earth to prolong their stay. These items come from the Himalayas.
The Ting-Shas are also used along with the Tibetan chanting bowls to start or to conclude a meditation session, as well as in many other applications. They are decorated with the 8 auspicious signs or with dragons, emblems of the Drukpa lineage. They are hand made in Nepal.
