Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche
Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche – The Precious Heart Son – was born in 1986 in Ladakh, as the reincarnation of the Tibetan yogi the First Thuksey Rinpoche, one of the main masters of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa.
He spent his childhood and his boyhood in the monastery of Druk Sangag Choeling, Darjeeling. There, he received teachings from His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa and other great Drukpa masters. He then pursued his studies at the monastic university of Tango in Bhutan.
Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche and Gyalwa Dokhampa together composed the present practice of Shabten (Long Life) for His Holiness and the Drukpa masters. He has many responsibilities: in particular, he is in charge of the monks of the Darjeeling monastery and of the Druk Pema Karpo school in Shey, Ladakh.
Very close to His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa, he works by his side and has a particular connection with the western students of the Drukpa lineage.
