Drubpön Pagsam Yongdu Ngawang Tenzin

Born in Chungkhar, Bhutan, Drubpön Pagsam Yongdu Ngawang Tenzin joined the main monastery of the Drukpa Lineage at a very young age, on the advice of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche. For twelve years, he humbly served the First Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche, one of his most eminent master. Then, after the parinirvana of Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche, he accomplished the retreat of three years, three months and three days. At His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa’s request, he arrives in France in 1989 and becomes his official representative in Europe.

Drubpön Ngawang Tenzin is the head of the congregation Pel Drukpay Tcheutsok and is in charge of all the European centers of the Glorious Drukpa Lineage. He was promoted Master of meditation retreat, “Drubpön”, by His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa.
Throughout the year, he leads collective retreats and gives advices to the students at Drukpa Plouray, the European seat of the lineage, as well as in all the other centers.
